This issue, I want to take a moment and say thank you to our readers. Your partnership in damage prevention and public safety is critical to carrying out the mission. For the past several years, excavation activity in Texas has been on the rise. And while the rate at which excavation activity is slowing, we remain up year over year. It may be a little early to tell how the infrastructure bill will impact excavation in Texas, but if it has
the impact many think it will, we may have a few more years of growth ahead of us. This growth means we need to remain vigilant in our damage prevention efforts and our strategic partnerships are more important than ever. And that is why I say thank you. Those of you who are taking the time to read our magazine understand what it takes to make Texas a safe place to live and work. It requires all of us to contribute, continue our education, learn about the challenges, and work together to overcome them. I appreciate you taking the time to be a part of the solution. I hope you enjoy this volume of the Texas811 magazine, and it was great to see all of you in person at our annual Damage Prevention Summit.
